2 cups cranberries, coarsely chopped
½ cup sugar
½ cup butter or margarine
¾ cup onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
4 cups dry bread crumbs
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
½ tsp. salt
¾ cup walnuts, chopped
1 cup raisins (plumped, if desired)
1 cup Chicken Broth
Stir the chopped cranberries and sugar together and set aside.
Melt the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the onion and celery and sauté until oft. Remove from the heat.
Place the bread crumbs, poultry seasoning, salt, walnuts, raisins, and broth in a large mixing bowl. Stir them together and then stir in the onion, celery, and butter mixture. Stir in the cranberries and sugar. Stuff the turkey loosely.
