5 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
1 medium turnip, peeled and quartered
6 small carrots, peeled and quartered
6 small parsnips, peeled and quartered
6 small whole onions
1 medium cabbage cut into wedges
1 3lb. beef brisket
Place beef brisket in uncovered 4 qt. pot. Add spice pouch from package and enough cold water to cover beef. Bring water to a boil over high heat. Cover pot and reduce heat. Simmer for 2 ½ -3 hours until tender and internal temp. of 160ºF. Add vegetables during last hour of cooking.
Serves 5-6
